Upon registration of any SWC Programs, all registrants have agreed to the following:
"General Guidelines:
Skate With Cass's private lessons are not run through the city. There are no skate rentals and all equipment is provided by the parent or legal guardian. Please refer to our policy about cancellations & rescheduling. There are no refunds or makeups for any missed classes unless cancelled by SkateWithCass. All programs have a "complete by" season. The company (Skate With Cass), their instructors, the arena, or the city will not be held responsible in any way for any possible injuries that could occur during the activity.
As classes tend to fill up fast, SkateWithCass tries their best to work with cancellations. Please do remember that classes are booked with the intention to attend. There are no skater/attendee substitutions allowed for missed classes.
Please remember that this is a commitment and that if you cancel or no-show your class no refund is provided, nor class credit or makeup lesson. A missed class is simply a missed class and there are no makeups around this. Refunds are not provided under any circumstances, including but not limited to; changing your mind, injured mid-session, dissatisfaction, sudden trip plans, or changed schedules.
Should any information be found to be inaccurate throughout the booking process, and/or should approval be skipped and not received, the registration will be subject to automatic cancellation, and a refund will be issued. Please note that a service fee of 4% of the total amount paid will be deducted from the refund as a processing charge. No additional confirmation from the registrant will be necessary to complete this withdrawal and refund process. Any omissions or errors in the registration steps will likewise result in automatic withdrawal and the issuance of a refund, less the applicable processing fee.
Poaching/After Hours Policy:
Our instructors cannot be poached or be asked to teach outside of SWC class hours. If poached/asked by any skater, all current, pending makeups, and upcoming classes are immediately terminated without refund. Our instructors pride themselves in working as a team, delivering WOW experiences, and providing well-educated lessons to all our skaters!
Makeup Class Policy:
For students in the Flexi-Pack Program or Mobile Program, a minimum of 48-hour cancellation notice is required for classes that the student wishes to makeup. Classes cancelled under the 48-hour notice period, are not eligible for a makeup class. Classes that you’re unable to attend cannot be transferred over to another individual - which includes family members, friends, or guests. If more than 2 classes are cancelled with under 24-hours notice or no notice, all remaining classes are terminated without refund. This is out of courtesy for our instructors and students. There are no makeups for missed classes, nor refunds for missed classes.
Flexi-Pack Program students are entitled to 1 makeup class, per 4-week program. If unable to attend your next upcoming class, you will be able to reschedule and make it up once. There are no makeup classes, for the original scheduled makeup. This applies no matter the length of notice. Upon notifying our team within the 48-hour notice period, you will be prompted by our team to complete the "Makeup Arrangement Form".
Mobile Program students are entitled to 1 makeup class, per 4-week program.
Class Credit Policy:
Classes cancelled due to the weather by SWC, or instructor-related cancellations will be processed as a credit to your SWC account. Credits can be applied to future full-program registration within Rollerblading or Ice Skating programs, and select equipment. Credits are valid for 120 days (4 months) from your last scheduled class date. After this date, classes expire and can no longer be used. For more information, refer to our policy page on our website. Credits are non refundable and are only applicable to registration and select equipment.
Ice Skating Season Conditions:
Although we prioritize consistency, unforeseen circumstances may require adjustments to class times (e.g., earlier/later starts, different days). While we endeavour to minimize disruptions, adjustments may occur up to or even shortly before your scheduled class time as we work with external factors beyond our control. It is the responsibility of the registrant (individual who completed the booking) to view the communications sent from SWC or to provide a reachable contact. SWC will not be held accountable for missed classes if communications are not received by the registrant/student/skater/family, whether due to inability to access email/texts, or if the provided contact is unreachable without an alternative provided, or if the provided contact does not view the email/text from SWC.
Classes range between 30 minutes - 60 minutes at a maximum. Students with under 10 skills can attend a class with a max of 40 minutes in timing, at the discretion of the instructor. Students who are not registered in one of our private facility programs are fully responsible for completing the registration for the attendee and any admission costs/fees. All registrants understand that late arrivals past 15 minutes (of a 30-minute class) are not permitted, and count as a missed class. Your class time has been specifically reserved for you. Classes that are not started, skipped or unattended will expire at the end of the registered season/year (Example: January 2024). There are NO makeup classes. A missed class is simply a missed class, and no makeup options will be offered under any circumstances.
By registering for classes, I agree, understand, and adhere to all of the above on behalf of the student/myself. I acknowledge and agree that SWC reserves the right to modify, amend, or adjust all Terms & Conditions/Policy at its discretion, without prior notice. By continuing with classes, all registered parties agree to abide by SWC's policy, including any adjustments made to the terms."
