Classes range between 30 minutes - 60 minutes at maximum. Students with under 10 skills can attend a class with a max of 40 minutes in timing. All ice skating classes expire at the end of the registered season + year. There are NO makeup classes. A missed class is simply a missed class, and no makeup options will be offered.
Classes that you’re unable to attend cannot be transferred over to another individual - which includes family members, friends, or guests. If more than 2 classes are cancelled with under 24-hours notice, all remaining classes are terminated without refund. Upon booking, registrants must accurately provide all required information concerning the student during the registration process. Students falling under our Diverse Abilities program must receive approval from SWC prior to registering. Should any information be found to be inaccurate during the booking process, and/or should approval be skipped and not received, the registration will be subject to automatic cancellation, and a refund will be issued. Please note that a service fee of 4% of the total amount paid will be deducted from the refund as a processing charge. No additional confirmation from the registrant will be necessary to complete this withdrawal and refund process. Any omissions or errors in the registration steps will likewise result in automatic withdrawal and the issuance of a refund, less the applicable processing fee.
Although we prioritize consistency, unforeseen circumstances may require adjustments to class times (e.g., earlier/later starts, different days). While we endeavour to minimize disruptions, adjustments may occur up to or even shortly before your scheduled class time as we work with external factors beyond our control. These changes are sometimes influenced by external factors beyond our control, such as system errors, class sizes, and other unforeseen reasons that may require adjustments. At SkateWithCass (SWC), we observe all major holidays, during which no classes will be held. If your scheduled class falls on a holiday, it will not proceed. Instead, the class will automatically be credited to your SWC account. You can use this credit towards a future class. Please refer to the credits policy for further information.
ENROLLMENT CONDITIONS & STANDARDS:
We are committed to providing a safe and effective learning environment for all students. For our youngest learners, particularly those under the age of 5, it is essential that they are able to follow simple, age-appropriate instructions demonstrated by our instructors. This ensures that each child can participate fully and benefit from the class, leading to a positive and successful learning experience.
All students must be able to participate in classes independently, without the presence of their parents. Parents and guardians are required to remain in the designated waiting area for the entire duration of the class. This maintains a focused learning environment and ensures that instructors can provide the most effective guidance to each student.
Instructors will assess the child’s ability to engage independently in activities and follow instructions. If a student is not able to meet these requirements, we may recommend postponing enrollment until they are developmentally ready to participate without the need for constant physical assistance or parental support during class.
This policy is designed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants and to provide the most beneficial learning environment for our young students.
Seasons follow as such:
WINTER: December 31 - February 27 (Please note, when participating in outdoor classes, we cannot guarantee that every class will proceed. This is based on the weather. Rainy, snowy or extremely cold weather can contribute to a cancelled class, with a credit to your SWC account in return. Please read our class credit policy for more information.)
SPRING: March 1 - May 31
SUMMER: June 1 - August 31
FALL + PRE-WINTER: September 1 - November 14 & November 15-December 30
Unfinished classes that have not been completed by the end of the month that they are skating in, then expire. (EG. Skating in January, classes must be completed by January 31, 2023.)
